Week 4

We ventured up north to see the Nago Cherry Blossom Festival. They trees only blooms for a few weeks each year, and these are the first trees to bloom all season in the world! Anyway, I snapped over 200 pictures and was able to capture some really good ones (I think). The first photo is a little Japanese boy running down the street with his blow-up doggy. We saw a lot of kids running around dragging their little blow-up toys around. Precious. The second one just depicts how beautiful the blossoms were! It's a little hard to tell, but there is a bumble-bee in one of the flowers too! We had a great time! I can't wait to edit more photos, but it might take a while :)

Week 3

Over the weekend, Joe and I ventured down south and found the Ryukyu Glass Factory! It was really neat to see how they make all the popular hand made Okinawan glass products. We even got to see them blow and shape the glass which was neat (I'd seen it done in Italy too but I'm still so fascianted by it!). Anyway, a lot of the pictures were okay, but I came across this really neat looking tree. I think the trees here in Japan are so neat looking! Anyway, I also captured a few other good ones, so I'm thinking instead of just limiting myself to just one a week, I'll post as many great ones I can. :)

Week 2

Ok, I know it's only Sunday, the first day of the week... but I just happened to snap a neat picture while I was at Coffee Casa this morning. I thought the lines and shadows turned out really good... or maybe that's just my opinion ;) If I happen to take a picture that's better this week, I'll be sure to post.

Week 1

We're pet-sitting for some friends who went to the states. They have a pug. I'm not a huge fan of them (let's be honest, they're kind of ugly and make weird snorting/snoring sounds), but I was able to capture a pretty funny picture of her extremley long tongue. Pretty intense.

Project 52

Hello! I've seen a few friends creating a Project 365... this is where you take a picture a day, for the entire year. I also have the app on my iPhone which I've been taking pictures, but I'd rather do it on a blog and be able to capture the pictures with my SLR camera! I think this is a great idea, but unfortunatley I don't think I have the time or models to do a 365 project!!! Instead, I decided to do a 52 project; a photo a week, which I think will be much more managable!

I'm excited to document the photos I take for an entire year, and this blog will be a great way to look back at all the different moments I was able to capture! Hopefully I'll also be able to see improvement on my photo taking skills and editing skills as well.

The first week is almost over, so I'll be sure to edit and post a picture soon!!!
