Week 32

Seems like the weeks are just flying by! I hope they continue to because Joe just left for his deployment! On the way to dropping him off, I saw a partial rainbow! :)

Week 31

This weekend Joe and I volunteered to help with the Futemna Air Show. They had static displays of several different planes, and they brought one of the KC-135s over as well. Not only did they have the planes, but they had all sorts of performances, including my favorite, a childrens group of Eisa Dancers. Joe's plane. The KC-135.

Week 30

This weekend there was a joint birthday celebration on the beach for me, Christian and Garett (two guys from the squadron). It turned out to be an extremleyyyy HOT sunny summer day. There was a quick rain shower, but since the sun was still out, we got a pretty rainbow! It was a great time, but due to the heat, I had to call it quits early because I was just too hot!

Week 27

This week FLEW by and I hardly had the chance to take any pictures! I've been super busy tutoring, so my first picture is of one of my students working in their "spelling sailboats".

The second one of obviously Brody. How precious is he? It was his birthday last week... Happy 3rd Birthday, Brody!

Week 26

Joe and I ventured out to Renaissance Hotel. It's a 4-star hotel with a private resort. You can buy a day-pass to use their beach and pools for the day and we've been dying to try it since last year!!! We had a blast and the weather was perfect! We can't wait to go back and try a swimming with the dolphins session that they offer!

Have I mentioned how much I love living on a tropical island?! :)

Week 25

In the spirit of the 4th of July... I opted for something red, white and blue. This is a sign I had custom made (please don't mind that the first one says 'Columbia, MS', instead of 'Columbus, MS'... the lady made a mistake and I haven't fixed it yet). The plane is hand painted from a friend in the squadron. I can't wait to fill in the other tags with future assignments!

PS-I can't decide if I like the new signature on the bottom or not. Any thoughts?

Week 24

Earlier this week, I got to watch Baby I while her mommy went to a dentist appointment. She is such a doll, I just love her! She is quite the busy-body these days so I didn't get to take many photos of her...

This weekend Joe finally had some time off! We went up north to check out the butterfly garden and Tropical Dream Center (flower garden center).

Week 20

This week for my SLR class we went to American Village to practice what we've learned. We got to go to the beach (Mom & Dad, this is the hotel/beach you will be staying at this summer!). It was HOT (and windy, so it evened out a little) and I was able to get some great shots!

Week 19

Saturday morning we went to get breakfast with some friends. We went to Coffee Casa (one of my favorites!) and I got a delicious hot chocolate (perfect for a rainy day). We also took a minute to check out the seawall. It's always covered with grafitti art, and I think it's cool!

Week 18

Happy Birthday, Kella!

Kella turned 3 this year! We celebrated (well Joe was gone, but Brody and I) by making her wear a party hat (for about 5 seconds), getting new toys, and a nice big bone for an after dinner treat!

Week 17

Here's a picture of some art that Joe brought back from Hawaii. I just thought the bag was so neat, and I love how they used chopsticks to close the bag! If you wanna see the art... you'll just have to wait. We need to order some custom frames. :)

And yes, I've taken and posted a picture of this type of flower before. BUT, I am taking an SLR class and was practicing on how to focus on a specific target!

Week 16

Summer is quickly approaching!! With the change in weather, there have been much more 4-legged flying "friends" around! We also went to the beach (to actually lay out) for the first time this year! YAY for amazing weather!

Week 15

Joe decided to pick up dinner (beloved Coco's) and he surprised me and also brought home flowers. Just love him!

We went to the Barrel Restaurant with a group of friends. It was Landon's 4th Birthday!!! Happy Birthday, little man! He was really excited to open his gifts!

Joe and I went to the Torii Beach Festival. It was low tide and we were able to get some neat pictures!

Week 14

This week went by way too fast! Here are a few photos of some furry friends :)
